Theresa Lee, Drawing On Creation (Portrait (2019))

Mira studied art in Sarajevo then came to Sydney to study fashion design and now calls Australia home. This series of grain textured images in B&W draws us through Mira’s creative process. From finding inspiration, visualising, sketching and sewing her own designs by hand, Mira melds her artistic background into her imaginative designs, with one of her finished garments as the finale. Over the course of a few weeks I was warmly welcomed into Mira’s creative space where she graciously gave me these candid portraits.
