Nikky De Oliveira, Dune Walkers (Portrait (2018))

5 minutes away from the local pub in Lancelin WA is an almost alien landscape; barren, windy and unforgiving. But just a stone's throw from the beach. The dunes themselves have incredible characteristics to photograph, but putting a person in the landscape changes the dynamic completely. Here you see intrepid dune-walkers ignoring the sand and wind under the late afternoon sun.
