Leanne Lindsay, Exploring Sydney in Black and White (BLACK & WHITE 2022)

From the hidden laneways of Sydney to the majestic buildings echoing a hidden past, Sydney shines in black and white. This Angel Place artwork is called “Forgotten Songs” and was designed by Michael Thomas Hill. As you stand underneath the birdcages you can hear the sounds of the birds that once inhabited Sydney before the city built up to what it is today. As day becomes night, the sounds of the birds change too! The Queen Victoria Building (abbreviated as the QVB) is a heritage-listed late-nineteenth-century building in Sydney.
