Daniel Macbride, Father/Son (PORTRAIT 2021)

As the years go by I am finding myself wondering more about my history and how the structure of my face came to be. We all tell stories of how we have lived through our faces. How the skin wrinkles, the scar we hold from many situations, how we hold our expression and which expression we use more creating different shapes and structure over time. In the light of my Grandfathers passing a year ago I've decided to chase back my history and how my face matches my fathers and with this on going project to chase back portraits of all my relatives to create an idea of how we have change or have not. My three portraits, I'll be submitting will be one of my father, myself and a third mixed with ether side of our face looking into the comparison of us structure, the differences in life choices and the beautiful story each of our faces
