Lucca Amorim, Feathered Hunters (Animal 2020)

As the sun rises, animals of all sorts set out to feed and hunt. Among these hunters, the feathered ones are one of the most exquisite predators to observe. Each predator displays a unique set of skills that functions at a high level to ensure its survival. In the first photo, a Nankeen night-heron displays and an enormous amount of concentration before an attack on the underwater prey. The second photo displays a failed attempt from a Large egret to retrieve a fish from the surface. In the last picture, a Rainbow bee-eater proudly holds a dragonfly in its beak captured during the early morning routine.
