Jerusha McDowell, Fleeting (LANDSCAPE 2023)

“Time is a river, a violent current of events, glimpsed once and already carried past us, and another follows and is gone.” - Marcus Aurelius From a series inspired by long hot car trips traveling across the rural landscapes of central NSW. Australia is a vast country and for many summer holidays and visits with family mean epic road trips traversing it. I wanted to capture the colours and textures of the rural Australian landscape as experienced on these journeys; as fleeting glimpses; snatches of colour or form that flash by before we can fully comprehend them.
