Emma Parker, From the sea to man and back again (ANIMAL 2021)

The Silver Gull - Chroicocephalus novaehollandiae is seen on just about all beaches across Australia, a common site and often by many consider a pest when they want to enjoy their picnic lunches. The beauty and the survival instinct of this bird amazes me; they frequent the north of Putty Beach as its a known area for fishermen hoping to pick up some bycatch - however; these same fisherman often leave their spoil of bad bait left; which whilst it is tempting even the silver gulls know this would end up being their last meal
