Skye Auer, Frost, Mist, Mountains. (LANDSCAPE 2021)

Some of my favourite things... the hardest frost, in deepest winter, and the mist that rises from the frozen ground. On these harsh mornings in deep winter I love to rise in the dark and find a mountain to climb that gives a view across the hills while the sun turns the dark into ethereal light and mist. The stillness that grips the earth, plants and animals when the cold grips like it did on this morning, is so profound it feels as if time stops.
