Enzo Giordani, Gannets of Muriwai (ANIMAL 2025)
Tākapu (Australasian gannets) come together in a colony on the rugged west coast of Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) to breed, nest and raise their chicks every summer. The colony at Muriwai is unique in that the public have free and close access to these magnificent birds who are completely unbothered by human presence and every visit rewards you with something different and beautiful to observe.
