Michael Rayment, Home, dear home (BLACK & WHITE 2023)

When the deeds for Alingarra became ours in 1996, we felt bestowed with not only a beautiful property in the Hunter Valley NSW Australia, but an architectural, cultural and historic responsibility. Home dear home is a personal project capturing images of this property using nine different film, direct positive paper and glass plate cameras spanning 100 years from 1890 to 1990. These cameras include 35mm, 6x4.5cm (Glass plate), 6x6cm, 6x9cm, 6x12cm, 6.5x9cm, 4x5 inch, 5x7 inch (Glass plate) and 10x8 inch format. Each image whether film or glass plate are captured and developed in my darkroom by a loving hand - mine.

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
