Gwyn Morgan, Homesick (Travel (2019))

During my third trip to Japan I made a conscious effort to break away from taking photos of the common places and subjects that I'm usually drawn to like Mt Fuji, temples or the countless modified cars. Instead I spent more time people watching and exploring side streets looking through fresh eyes. This trip I experienced some amazing sights like a business man on his early morning walk stopping to play with the local cats or girl in a crowd catching the perfect back light from the setting sun. Japan has become an obsession for me. The culture, people and food always leave me feeling a sense of 'homesick' once I return to Australia.
