Matilda Gallagher, "How Do You See Me?" (BLACK & WHITE 2024)

This film series is intended to capture the universal experience of invisible disabilities and mental disorders. Unlike a physical disability, you can’t see the symptoms and struggles of these individuals so they are perceived as "normal" and their diverse needs are ignored. These images look from the outside into a person's life to show the disconnect between perception and personal experience. We all witness small moments in other people's lives whilst we live our own, concluding judgments about individuals we'll never truly know.
