Beth Sutton, Humanity (ANIMAL 2025)

I adore elephants. Always have, always will. For me, it's their fierce loyalty & protection of the whole herd. It's their empathy for others & their communal grief in death. It's the deep rumbles of waterhole chat & tantrum squawks when their little legs can't get them out of the mud hole until a mum or an auntie comes to help. It's the celebration on finding water after a long search, the gorging it down & the pool party that follows. For an animal so far from human, they are the ultimate teachers of humanity.
