Jayden O'Neill, Ice (BLACK & WHITE 2023)
Floating by the Tabular Icebergs of the Antarctic is truly mesmerising! These icy masses boast an impressive history, and an equally interesting future. Not formed at sea, ice bergs begin their life as they're deposited in ice sheets over tens of thousand of years, and as they're pushed to the very edge of the ice shelf, they break off and begin their next life at sea. Here, in the final years as a frozen mass, they're left to the wind and ocean currents, as they slowly melt into the surface layer of water, becoming part of the ocean conveyor belt that impacts the whole world's climate.
