Dan Ratner, In Plain Sight (PEOPLE 2025)
In the city’s shifting light and constant movement, moments of presence emerge. Each portrait captures a subject suspended between anonymity and attention — seen, yet unseen. This series is a quiet meditation on the ways people inhabit public space: watching, waiting, moving through, and being noticed. These images invite reflection not only on the subjects themselves but also on our own role as observers. Who are we when we look — and who are they when they know we’re looking?
