Keira Gallagher, Keen Eye (SINGLE SHOT 2023)

On this day the Kōtare (Kingfisher) sat atop the powerline, a light drizzle sprinkling his marine-blue plumage, his keen eye on the grass. Every now and then he would swoop, catching an insect, then fly back to his perch to await another. A gorgeous bird, a superb hunter.
