Shelley Reis, Life under smoky skies (Single Shot 2020)
In the summer of 2019, smoky skies became our new normal. The Currowan fires burned for 74 days creating an eerie dark glow on the horizon near Jervis Bay. After the initial shock wore off, we adjusted to this new 'normal' and for those of us on the periphery life went on under blackened skies. This picture is a memento of our summer - a sad reality as we welcomed the new decade.
