Elijah Clarke, Linger (OPEN 2022)
Linger is a photographic-based project that explores personal narratives surrounding mortality. Since the birth of photography, photographic images have made permanent objects out of transitory subjects. Linger explores the relationship of imagery superimposed with life and living. The medium of photography has the power to illustrate mortality. Regardless of intent, the image acts as a record and serves as a reminder of impermanence. The photograph allows an enduring, motionless, and precise illusion of physical matter.
Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
