Down a side alley in Manama Souq, Bahrain a group of poor migrant Pakistanis pound down smelted electronic componentry in the hope of gathering enough gold or silver particles to sell. Time is free and with equipment costing a bare minimum their meagre rewards may be seen as a bonus to their modest incomes.
