Louise Faulkner, Magpie Season (SINGLE SHOT 2021)

I was swooped by this magpie whilst riding my bike, but quickly realised it was after different prey. I stopped, whipped out my camera and managed to catch this shot: the magpie flying overhead, wings outstretched, backlit by a sun just tucked in behind the harbourside building, it's catch within its beak.
