Peter Hammer, Man and the World (Art 2020)
Part of a series looking at how we as people interact with our world. Twisted personality looks at the how we see ourselves as not fitting into the norms of society. For example a woman trapped in the body of a man although this could also be interpreted as a person who thinks differently to the rest of the world or any number of ways in which the unconventional runs up against the conventional. Walking on the Edge symbolises the notion of taking risks both with one's life and/or with the work we do. Progress Towards Civilisation looks at how we have and are destroying the planet in the name of economic growth. We destroy the forests and build edifices glorying progress. A lone figure looks on as the natural world is destroyed.
