Mikael Kulig, Marine Marvel Medley (ANIMAL 2023)
Australia is truly blessed with an abundance of stunning marine habitats and wildlife and we are truly privileged to have access to it. This entry features three captivating creatures that call the waters of New South Wales home. The first photo features the colourful and elegant splendid nudibranch, a relatively common sight in the underwater world around Sydney. The second photo showcases the mesmerizing jelly blubber, floating gracefully in the current off the shores of Kurnell. And finally, the third captures the intriguing mouthbrooding gobble guts, a curious creature found in the depths at Clifton Gardens. These photos not only highlight the beauty of these fascinating animals, but also the importance of marine reserves and conservation efforts in preserving our oceans.
