Nitin Saksena, Message from a humble bubble (Documentary/Photojournalism (ATEP 2017))

In this mini photo-documentary, I have encapsulated the importance of water which we all enjoy, yet we waste, which we can't live without, yet we pollute, and which makes us all happy, yet we don't realize how vital it is to the life in general. I took this series in Sydney when a professional Bubble blower was entertaining the crowds by blowing giant bubbles in the air. I had another intention and stayed there for half a day to shoot and get pictures that can tell a story to our kids and give a message to all of us about conserving this precious molecule of life. These humble bubbles are profound in their message, as depicted in naturally forming animal and human shapes. 1. Bubble with a human face thinking about the future. 2. Reflection of the city in floating bubbles, signifying that as the reflections of our cities disappear in these bubbles, so will we. 3. Flora and fauna equally need water. The wildlife, as seen in a bubble forms, is disappearing as their habitats shrink due to human encroachment. 4. Dinosaurs have already gone. Are we next? 5. If water is the molecule of life 6. Then why don't we care about it? We are happily swimming, yet oblivious of pollutants in the water. Let us clean up our water bodies, give a chance to the beautiful aquatic life, and conserve it for our future! Water is integral to our survival!
