Shot on an Apple iPhone XR on 1 and 2 January 2023 from a yacht on Milford Sound, South Island, New Zealand, this trio captures the majesty and interplay of light, its absence and impact on nature in one of the most serene locations on earth. Milford Night Rising was shot at 10:14pm, depicting the moon rising over Mitre Peak with Milford Rising Ice is Mitre Peak at 5:49am. Milford Rising showcases the falls that enter sight as the sun burns away the fog in the fjord, traces of which are evident in the right middle line on the image.
