Dan Ratner, Monumental Shadowing (ARCHITECTURE 2025)

This series explores the sculptural and psychological weight of architectural forms across Sydney. Through stark black-and-white treatment, each frame renders the built environment as a quiet monument—defined more by shadow and silence than by function. The images strip away noise to reveal form, contrast, and presence. Architecture becomes an emotive language: light carves space, shadow holds tension, and buildings become stage sets for something just out of frame.
