Amelia Seddon, Moss (Travel (2019))
These images were taken last summer (2017) while travelling through the Sogn Og Fjordane region of Western Norway. The landscape was a perfect balance of uncanny stillness and a geological movement. Calm waters and glaciers which only appeared to be resting gave this area a palpable drama for which it is known, but it was the small hyttes, fishing cabins or summer houses; often no more than small, elegantly fading shacks that complemented the natural feature and which kept recurring as the obvious subject of these landscapes. I was shooting with my Rolleiflex which imposed a somewhat restricted perspective and forced me to stand still a little longer at each location, for which opportuity I'm very grateful.
