Alistair Thom, Motus Noctus (Landscape (2019))
This folio, Motus Noctus, is about the emotions we experience at night time, utilizing the natural landscape and introducing some colour via light painting. The series was shot at night in the sand dunes at Wilson's Promontory. As the landscape, lighting and weather were different on each visit, each shot was in response to those conditions. Technically, a single long exposure was taken to capture the landscape and this was combined in camera as a double exposure with another exposure for the light painting.
