Streets of Indonesia – Despite a growing economy, Indonesia’s poorest communities still subsist under extreme poverty. Wrinkles on an elderly man’s face reveal a history of hard labour, laughter and bitterness. But his eyes show resilience, understanding and hope. Every challenge and every difficulty we successfully confront in life serves to strengthen our ability to persevere and succeed. That was my goal on this portrait series, I wanted to connect the viewer in a deep level with the subject so he can understand the reality of Indonesian life.
