Lorraine-Lee Tyerman, Nature's Art (ART 2024)

Nature’s artistry surrounds us, many times the beauty is overlooked when people don’t take time to stop and enjoy it. I am lucky that I live in a part of the country where nature cannot be ignored. All I need to do is to step out of my door and I’m standing right in the middle of it. I believe that I am blessed to have the ability to find beauty in whatever I see, and I love to take the time to photograph the little things that many people overlook. My photo Flow was taken of a slow flow of water coming from a bore pump hose. It created a bubble each time the water escaped the hose. I was fascinated by the colours that were highlighted from the setting sun, and all the smaller bubbles that remained on the ground. The Sand Rivers photo drew my attention with the patterns of rain on the road at the front of our house that left an interesting design in the sand, showing the flow of rain and the erosion it had caused. Adding yet more dimension to nature’s artwork were the small seeds that gathered in the lower crevices. The grass casting shadows was a nice contrast against the sand. My third photo Nature’s Garden is a typical scene of what the outback is. We live in the desert, and when there is no water, shrubs will die, but all it takes it a splash of rain to bring the desert to life with a pop of colour.
