Bettina Kingma , Nature wins (Documentary 2020)

The Narrabeen Lagoon is the largest in metropolitan Sydney. Ocean currents and rainfall are only some factors effecting the lagoon being open to the ocean. The lack of rainfall has meant it has closed and remained this way for months and local councils attempts to open it up with digging a channel have failed. The rains falling heavily this week will increase chance of it being successful. Locals watch on and children impatiently wait to ride the surge of water as it opens to the sea.
