Alex Szczesniak, Non-Locality (Wedding (2019))

I've come to appreciate this idea that we as humans all have this super human power within us called Non-Locality. It's the idea that a person can influence someone when they aren't even present with that person. Through the time I've spent with people at weddings I've found myself more self aware of this great gift we've all been given. For the last 12 months there's been a shift in my approach. It's a privilege to witness these life events with people and that's something to be honoured. Wedding Photography can be so much more than just taking photos. Investing in the people first and the photos second has helped me to appreciate the reminder for people that the images I create for them can be used in good times to experience joy, in times that aren't so great where a visual reminder can spark motivation to work through things or even to remember those loved ones who aren't around anymore. Wedding Photography has given me so much. I want to give back even more and be a person who influences couples and families and their friends in a way that will continue to add value to their lives, even when I'm sitting on the couch at home watching Netflix.
