Rebecca Wiltshire, Novice Monks of Myanmar (Documentary/Photojournalism (ATEP 2017))
Buddhist monks hold a high status in the society of Myanmar. Many boys in Myanmar will spend a period of time during their youth in a buddhist monastery as Novice Monks. They share communal classes, mealtimes, meditations and prayer. The fully ordained monks guide their preceptors and are happy for the novice monks to mix with tourists and to improve their english.
