Zoe Morley, Ostracised (Portrait (ATEP 2017))

These are the faces of a rural community of Kwa Zulu Natal, torn apart by HIV/AIDS. With the highest rate of the disease in South Africa everyone within this community is either infected or affected in some way by HIV. Many have lost loved ones, parents, children or have the disease themselves. Many of those born with the disease also have to grow up with other illnesses and disabilities brought on by HIV, including deafness, blindness, epilepsy amongst many others. As a result many are ostracised from the community.
