Emma Wright, Persona non kata (Student (ATEP 2017))

An exploration of stereotypes, Persona non kata considers the ease with which we use such social shortcuts and the misunderstanding they facilitate. These six images are part of a larger multimedia work in which I use constructed scenes and performance to respond to stereotypes I feel vulnerable to, turning them into absurd self-fulfilling prophecies, challenging the viewer to label me.
