Alan Zhao, Piercing brush strokes (LANDSCAPE 2023)

These are aerial pictures taken at a salt lake in SA. As the water recedes in summer, the colour layers, textures and patterns of the salt lake begin to reveal. These pictures capture the amazingly coloured salt lake layers due to the salt movements by the force of nature. It is interesting to see some similarities between the patterns at the micro level and the patterns at macro level.
