Ho Tran, Pizza Hunt (Art)
Pizza Hunt is a photographic record of the iconic dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants that were erected in the thousands in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Today, only a handful of these huts remain and they now have second lives as grocery stores, pawnshops, gospel churches, liquor stores and funeral homes - among other things. “The chain restaurant is something of a strange object – considered outside the realm of significant architecture, yet swiftly reflecting shifts in popular taste and unquestionably making an impact on daily life. These buildings rarely show up in architectural journals, yet they have become some of the most numerous and conspicuous in the United States today.” - Philip Langdon
