These images form part of a larger documentary book project which followed Melbourne City Rooftop Honey founders Mat and Vanessa through the Summer and Autumn beekeeping cycle in order to reveal the unique challenges and rewards of urban beekeeping and uncover the secret world of an insect so vital for human survival, yet currently under threat by predators and environmental degradation.
