Jamin Walsh Menegazzo, Portraits of Romanticism (ART 2021)

The following images are from my series ‘Portraits of Romanticism’. The concept of these photographs are inspired by the Romanticism movement from the 1800s. The style of the photographs are similar to the work of painters such as John Waterhouse, William Blake and Henry Fuseli. They depict nude subjects portrayed in a classically beautiful manner, with heavy chiaroscuro and painterly features. By capturing this, I have aimed to explore my own perspective of the beauty I find in the female form, yet also challenge the traditional portrayal of women from the 19th century.

Images have been resized for web display, which may cause some loss of image quality. Note: Original high-resolution images are used for judging.
