Kelvin Hennessy, Q1 Moonrise (SINGLE SHOT 2021)

This photograph shows a group of climbers on the viewing platform of the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise, silhouetted by the rising full moon. The Q1 is the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere and the viewing platform is 270 metres above sea level. Their night time climb on days of a full moon is particularly popular as it gives climbers the opportunity to marvel not only at the setting sun, but the rising full moon as well.
