Ceri Evans, Roots (BLACK & WHITE 2024)

Mary Cairncross Reserve, Sunshine Coast QLD. This is a beautiful rainforest in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, less than 15 minutes from my home. Because it's so close I generally go fairly often, this was the third trip with my camera and the first time that I'd had a fruitful photography outing there. It's a hard place to compose because there is so much going on and so I decided to restrict myself to shooting with a prime in Black and White to see if having less choice helped single out compositions and it did!
