Lisa Thomas, Sanctuary (ANIMAL 2023)

One of my favourite day trips in recent memory was to the Australian Wildlife Walkabout park. It's a sanctuary for rescued native animals, yet they couldn't say no to adopting some Meerkat that were going to be euthanised. Sunset is a particularly magical time there when the park closes to the public and only those camping stay amongst the kangaroos and emu.
