Looking down upon the mangroves at this estuary, Anderson Inlet is like looking at a foreign landscape of unknown scale and context. Deliberately cropping in camera to remove the horizon, I hope the viewer pauses at the image to wonder - what larger landscape is this part of? Where am I and why is this landscape barren, yet dotted with vegetation? Is this land unaltered or has it been impacted by man?
