Jay Kogler, September 18th, 2021 - Anti-Lockdown Protest has Photojournalists Targeted by Police (DOCO 2023)

During the COVID mandated lockdowns of 2020/2021, self-proclaimed "freedom fighters" would take to the streets to defy the rules and were often met with a fierce police response. But during the chaos on this day, members of the press were victims of targeted pepper sprayings and arrests. This kind of treatment by police is appalling and journalists should be guaranteed more safety in the field.
