Jonathan Abdipranoto, Serenely Stunning Sunrises (Landscape (ATEP 2017))

There's nothing more therapeutic and calming for me than taking in a beautiful sunrise on Sydney's beaches. When I get to the location, I find myself transfixed with notions of photography and I scout about looking for a different compositions to play with or figuring out what type of shot I want or calculating exposures. After I have sorted all that out, I proceed to plug in my ear phones and listen to some calming music as my camera and I witness the sun ascend beyond the horizon. In those moments I am relaxed in my own unique meditative state where any worries I have are alleviated and I feel rejuvenated. The impact becomes doubly so as I take a look at my photos on Lightroom and I revel in the serenity that my long exposure shots create.
