Bri Hammond, Sharehomes (Student)
Sharehomes is a photographic exploration into the households of Melburnians who have decided to live together. From sisters to strangers, these are a wide range of houses with fascinating collaborations of taste, lifestyles, possessions and values. Now that people continue to live communally beyond their student years, many strive to make share houses their home – whether it be through aesthetics, shared dinners or keeping good company. Sharehomes is about challenging the stereotypes of share housing by displaying beautiful homes accompanied by interviews with the housemates. Originally hailing from South Australia, Bri is a Melbourne based editorial photographer fascinated by the lives, living habits and spaces of creative people. After a short career in graphic design, Bri made the switch to photography and studied photography at RMIT University in Melbourne, where she graduated in 2015. Bri has had her photos published in Frankie magazine and Belle magazine.
