Krystle Ricci, She Always Has to Leave (Art (2019))
Grievers wait for the night for a relief from our pain, sorrow touches every inch of our bodies and agony manifests from the mind into every tissue, bringing invisible inflammation to every joint. In the 12 years since my sister passed away death has not broken our bond like I thought it would, I still remember the first night she visited me in my dreams. The apparitions feel so real though slightly dimmer, and the reunion, no matter how real always has the haunting feeling she’s leaving. These collection of images are objects I find and apparitions she has shown me in my sleep. And is a first attempt at shooting based on emotion rather than technical perfection.
