Richard Lowe, Show Real: Behind the Scenes (DOCO 2023)

When it comes to film and TV production, most viewers are excited for the finished product. But the story behind the production can be just as interesting and exciting. This series of images are behind the scenes stills of a short film from a first time director, shot at the beautiful Athenaeum theatre in Melbourne, the city’s oldest cultural institution. The love, sweat and tears that goes into a production, with time and money pressures often working against it, can make it an incredibly stressful situation for all involved. But the hard work and talent of cast and crew members that are willing to put in 110% of their effort and hard work, to see that vision become a reality, really is an amazing thing to bear witness to and document.
