Trish Curotta, Simpl (Art (2019))

I have been influenced by Japanese art, in particular the fine art of Japanese cranes, in the depiction of this black-winged stilt mother and her chick,. Japanese minimalist style was employed with high key, simple lines, with just shadows, ripples and the occasional stick reflected in the waters. The last image of the mother alone sees her as one with the wetlands she inhabits.
