Kim James, Southbank People (ART 2024)

Every place has an atmosphere. People contribute their mood, energy, and colour through their activity. When I visit a place, the memory I take away is a montage of the things I’ve done, and the sights and sounds I’ve experienced; the atmosphere. Southbank is a destination for inner-city living, hospitality, and recreation for locals and tourists visiting Melbourne. People visit as families, to meet friends or to explore alone. Most promenade, watch street performers and dine out. Others run, cycle and ride scooters.
