Will Lawler, Southern Giant (Single Shot 2020)

This image was created in the Southern Ocean, enroute to Antarctica, at a very special place called The Antarctic Convergence. A location very rich in sea life. Here, a Southern Giant Petrel effortlessly soars the winds reminding me of a kite. I withstood the freezing temperatures and winds, for what seemed an eternity, waiting for this petrel to pass in front of Shag Rocks 240km to the west of South Georgia.
